One of Facebook’s latest updates has brought back many great and sometimes comical memories from my past.
Not quite sure what was second block my freshman year of high school was but I doubt no one cared I hated it. This was right before lunch so odds are I was hangry. You know that feeling you get when you are so hungry you get angry.
Facebook also has given me daily reminders of the fabulous life I had a year ago, living in Florence and eating my way around Europe. Yes, Chapel Hill is amazing and I will undoubtedly miss it when I’m gone but nothing will ever compare to the experience of studying abroad. I know in my first blog for my Branding of Me class I decided to write about my eats this last semester of college because a) I love to eat and am proudly that person that asks what is for dinner at breakfast, b) I have grown to appreciate good food, and most importantly c) some of my best memories with people are over food. Yet, I still felt like there was more to me than food. My dad even reminded me of that this past weekend…thanks dad! Thus, I have decided to do a #tbt each week to reflect on my greatest memories from traveling. This #tbt may consist of solely pictures because some of the places I went need no explanation. It was until this point last year I semi-consistently kept up with my travel blog. Eatalian Adventures became very time consuming in my fast paced traveling lifestyle. My weekly schedule consisted of class Tuesday through Thursday, leave Thursday evening for weekend adventure in a new place, and come back in the wee hours of Monday morning. There was very little time to write a blog that took me two hours because hey I was/am still a semi-slow writer and I knew it had to be written somewhat well because of my family reading it. Thankfully only my sister Linds is the only one that reads this thing so I can practice my stream of consciousness and ramble as much as I want.
If we’re being completely honest here, I’m about to go out for a F*ck Cancer party for one of my friends so I’ll tell all of you (or just you Linds) about my great adventure this time last year hopefully some time this weekend!
